CHAPTER 87

HOUSE BILL 747

 

AN ACT TO CHANGE THE NAME OF WILSON COUNTY TECHNICAL COLLEGE TO WILSON TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

 

Whereas, Wilson County Technical College is an educational institution operating under the provisions of Chapter 115D of the General Statutes of North Carolina and dedicated primarily to the educational needs of the service area which it serves; and

Whereas, G.S. 115D-2(2)d, which provided for changing the names of institutions in the community college system has expired; and

Whereas, the officials of Wilson County Technical College would like to change the name of that institution to Wilson Technical Community College;

Now, therefore,

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  The name of "Wilson County Technical College" is changed to "Wilson Technical Community College".

Sec. 2.  This act is effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 4th day of May, 1989.
