GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 196
AN ACT TO ALLOW THE TOWN OF WAKE FOREST TO EXERCISE EXTRATERRITORIAL PLANNING POWERS UP TO TWO MILES FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. G.S. 160A-360(a) is amended by adding the following new sentence immediately after the third sentence:
"Notwithstanding the third sentence of this subsection, with the approval of the County Board of Commissioners with jurisdiction over the area, the Town of Wake Forest may exercise these powers over an area extending not more than two miles beyond its limits."
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
