SENATE BILL 256

 

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE TOWN OF BEECH MOUNTAIN TO DETERMINE WHETHER BEER AND WINE MAY BE SOLD IN THAT TOWN.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 6, Chapter 18B, of the General Statutes, the Town Council of Beech Mountain may call an election on the sale of malt beverages and unfortified wine.  The ballot propositions shall be those stated in G.S. 18B-602(a)(4) and 18B-602(d)(1).

Sec. 2.  Except as provided in Section 1 of this act, the election shall be conducted pursuant to Chapter 18B of the General Statutes.

Sec. 3.  This act is effective upon ratification.
