AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF MONROE TO CONVEY TO THE UNITED STATES OR ANY AGENCY THEREOF WITH OR WITHOUT MONETARY CONSIDERATION, OR TO EXCHANGE WITH THE UNITED STATES OR UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE OR ANY AGENCY THEREOF FOR OTHER REAL AND/OR PERSONAL PROPERTY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF MONROE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 12 of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes, the City of Monroe is hereby authorized to convey to the United States or United States Postal Service or any agency thereof, with or without monetary consideration, or to exchange with the United States or any agency thereof for other real or personal property or both, the following described property:

Lying and being in the City of Monroe, Monroe Township, Union County and more particularly described as that city block bounded on the North by Windsor Street, on the East by Stewart Street, on the South by Talleyrand Avenue and on the West by Charlotte Avenue.

Sec. 2.  This act is effective upon ratification.
