HOUSE BILL 240

AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 115A-5 RELATING TO THE WAIVER OF TUITION AND REGISTRATION FEES FOR TRAINING COURSES FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL AND VOLUNTEER RESCUE AND LIFESAVING DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  G.S. 115A-5 as the same appears in the 1974 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 3A of the General Statutes is hereby amended by adding the words and punctuation "local fire department personnel and volunteer rescue and lifesaving department personnel," between the words and punctuation "firemen," and "local" on line 17.

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.
