HOUSE BILL 958

AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 116-174 INCREASING THE RATE OF INTEREST TO BE PAID ON SCHOLARSHIP LOANS BY PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS FROM FOUR PERCENT (4%) TO SIX PERCENT (6%).

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  G.S. 116-174(2) is amended by deleting the figure "4%" and substituting in lieu thereof the figure "6%" as the same appears in line 2.

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective upon ratification and shall apply only to loans made after ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 24th day of June, 1975.
