SENATE BILL 776

 

AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE FIRING OF SHOTGUNS, RIFLES AND OTHER FIREARMS FROM THE STATE-MAINTAINED ROADS AND RIGHT-OF-WAYS IN YEOPIM PRECINCT OF CHOWAN COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any shotgun, rifle or any other firearm of any type from, to or across any State-maintained road or State-maintained right-of-way in Yeopim Precinct of Chowan County.

Sec. 2. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), or imprisoned for not more than 30 days, or both fined and imprisoned, in the discretion of the court.

Sec. 3. This act shall become effective July 1, 1975.
