AN ACT PERMITTING THE AWARD OF GUNS AND BADGES TO CITY AND COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  G.S. 20-187.2, as the same presently appears in the 1974 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 1C of the General Statutes is hereby amended in line 2 by inserting the words and punctuation ", city and county" between the phrases "North Carolina State" and "law-enforcement agencies", now appearing together in the statute.

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.
