CHAPTER 337

HOUSE BILL 732

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF MOORE COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1. The members of the Board of Education of Moore County shall be paid as compensation for their services the sum of twenty dollars ($20.00) per day for each day they attend meetings of the board. The chairperson of the Board of Education, in addition to the twenty dollars ($20.00) per day for each meeting of the board, shall be paid the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month.

The chairperson and each member shall be paid twelve cents (12¢) per mile for all necessary travel incurred in the performance of their official duties.

Sec. 2. Section 2 of Chapter 651, Session Laws of 1953, and all laws in conflict with this act, are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
