HOUSE BILL 1687
AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT FUNDS OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING BOARDS ARE NOT USED FOR LOBBYING PURPOSES.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. Chapter 93B of the General Statutes is hereby amended by adding a new section G.S. 93B-6 thereto to read as follows:
"§ 93B-6. Use of funds for lobbying prohibited. — Occupational licensing boards shall not use any funds to promote or oppose in any manner the passage by the General Assembly of any legislation."
Sec. 2. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
