HOUSE BILL 1394
AN ACT TO MODIFY JUDICIAL APPELLATE PROCEDURE.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. G.S. 1-279 is amended by substituting a semicolon for the period and adding the following:
"provided, however, that if any motion permitted by G.S. 1A-1, Rule 59, is timely made or an amendment to or alteration of a judgment is effected by the methods prescribed in that same rule the appeal need not be taken within the time limits stated above, but the appeal must be taken within ten days from the signing of the order ruling on such motions or amending or altering the original judgment."
Sec. 2. This act shall become effective October 1, 1971.
