AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE KERR LAKE DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION TO ENACT REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE JOHN H. KERR RESERVOIR AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 143-286 is amended by adding a paragraph at the end thereof as follows:

"The Commission shall have authority to make reasonable rules and regulations for the use by the public of all real and personal property under jurisdiction of the Commission, which rules and regulations, after having been posted in conspicuous places on the Reservoir and filed with the Secretary of State, shall have the force and effect of law and any violation of such regulations shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) or by imprisonment for not more than 30 days, or both fine and imprisonment."

Sec. 2.  This act shall be effective upon ratification.
