SENATE BILL 46

 

 

AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT A QUORUM FOR ANY MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF STATE SHALL BE FIVE MEMBERS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 147-13 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof a new sentence to read as follows:

"Council of State Meeting Quorum. — In all meetings of the Council of State, five members exclusive of the governor shall constitute a quorum."

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective on and after July 1, 1971.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 1st day of March, 1971.
