AN ACT TO REPEAL CHAPTER 587 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1965.

 

WHEREAS, Chapter 587 of the Session Laws of 1965, was enacted by the General Assembly and said Act stated that School District Committee No. 3 of the Beaufort County School Administrative Unit of Beaufort County should consist of seven members; and

WHEREAS, the General Assembly at its 1965 Session enacted general public school legislation which permitted county boards of education to organize the public schools of their administrative units on a basis of one district, or to appoint advisory councils for districts if they desire to do so, and the Beaufort County Board of Education now wishes to organize on a one district basis: Now, therefore,

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. That Chapter 587 of the Session Laws of 1965, be, and the same is hereby, repealed.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
