AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 151, SESSION LAWS OF 1961, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 232, SESSION LAWS OF 1965, SO AS TO APPOINT TRUSTEES OF TRYON CITY'S ADMINISTRATIVE SCHOOL UNIT IN POLK COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 151, Session Laws of 1961, is hereby amended by rewriting the first sentence thereof to read as follows:

"W. L. Hague, John W. Cowan, Tom Mize, Ralph Lawrence and Russell Constance are hereby appointed Trustees of the Tyron City Administrative School Unit for terms of two years each beginning on the first Monday in April, 1967 and ending on the first Monday in April, 1969, or until their successors are appointed and qualified, and said Trustees shall take the oath of office before entering upon the duties of their office."

Sec. 2. Section 1 of Chapter 151, Session Laws of 1961, is further amended by deleting in lines 13, 14, and 15 the following words:

"The persons herein appointed Trustees of said school unit must qualify by taking the oath of office on or before the second Monday in May, 1961."

Sec. 3. Sections 1 and 2 of Chapter 232, Session Laws of 1965, are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 5. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 16th day of May, 1967.
