SENATE BILL 318

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF POLK COUNTY TO IMPOSE CERTAIN TAX COLLECTING DUTIES ON A DEPUTY REGISTER OF DEEDS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Polk County is, hereby authorized, in its discretion, upon the appointment of a deputy register of deeds, to impose upon such deputy such duties as it may deem wise and expedient in assisting the tax collector by performing duties of an assistant tax collector, which duties shall be performed ex officio.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 9th day of May, 1967.
