AN ACT TO FIX THE COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR, AND MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF LILLINGTON IN HARNETT COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The governing body of the Town of Lillington is hereby authorized, in its discretion, to fix the salary of the Mayor at a sum not to exceed sixty dollars ($60.00) per month, and to fix the salaries of the members of the governing body of the Town of Lillington at a sum not to exceed forty dollars ($40.00) per month. The authority to fix salaries as provided herein shall not be effective until after the 1967 regular municipal election in the Town of Lillington.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
