HOUSE BILL 288

AN ACT RELATING TO LICENSING OF GARBAGE COLLECTORS IN SURRY COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. G. S. 153-272 is hereby amended by adding a new paragraph at the end thereof to read as follows:

"The licenses and exclusive rights which a county is authorized to grant pursuant to this Section may be granted for any length of time not exceeding ten years upon such conditions and terms as the Board of County Commissioners may deem advisable."

Sec. 2. This Act shall apply only to Surry County.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
