AN ACT RELATING TO THE DRAWING OF JURORS IN HOKE COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. G. S. 9-4, as the same appears in the 1965 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 1B of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following paragraph, immediately following the thirteenth paragraph thereof:

"In Hoke County the Board of County Commissioners shall draw not exceeding 60 jurors for each criminal or mixed term of Superior Court and not exceding 48 jurors for each civil term of court."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification, and shall also be retroactive to January 1, 1967, and the drawing of any jurors in Hoke County since January 1, 1967 and prior to the effective date of this Act shall be valid and effective as if done pursuant to law.
