SENATE BILL 232

AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF SPENCER IN ROWAN COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 28 of Chapter 37 of the Private Laws of 1905, as amended by Section 4 of Chapter 382 of the Private Laws of 1911, as further amended by Section 1 of Chapter 414 of the Session Laws of 1943, as further amended by Section 1 of Chapter 883 of the Session Laws of 1955, is hereby further amended by striking out the words "and the aldermen of said town shall receive not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) each per annum" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "and the aldermen of said town shall receive not more than three hundred dollars ($300.00) each per annum".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective June 1, 1965.
