SENATE BILL 100

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO REPORTING CANCER CASES TO THE STATE BOARD OF HEALTH.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  It shall be the duty of every pathologist diagnosing any case of any type of cancer (malignant neoplasm) to report the same to the Central Office of Vital Statistics of the State Board of Health. Such reports shall be made within five (5) days of the time such diagnosis of cancer is established on forms prescribed and furnished by the Central Office of Vital Statistics of the State Board of Health, and shall contain such items of information as may be specified by the State Board of Health.

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective July 1, 1963.
