HOUSE BILL 342

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 1013 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1961 RELATING TO THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF EDENTON AND THE CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS IN SAID TOWN.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 6 of Chapter II of Section 1 of Chapter 1013 of the Session Laws of 1961 is hereby amended by rewriting said Section 6 of Chapter II of Section 1 so that the same shall read as follows:

"Sec. 6. Conduct of Elections. The election herein provided for shall be conducted by the Chowan County Board of Elections under the same statutory rules and regulations provided for elections under Chapter 163 of the General Statutes, as amended, and all provisions thereof not inconsistent with the specific provisions of the Chapter."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
