AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ELECTION OF THE AUDITOR OF PENDER COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Chapter 219, Public-Local Laws of 1939, is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. At the next general election to be held in Pender County in 1964 for the election of county officers, there shall be elected a county auditor, who shall take office on the first Monday in December, 1964, and who shall serve for a period of four (4) years or until his successor is elected and qualified. At the general election held each four (4) years thereafter, there shall be elected a County Auditor for Pender County who shall serve a term of four (4) years, and until his successor is elected and qualified.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
