AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 57, PRIVATE LAWS OF NORTH CAROLINA, 1919, RELATING TO TAXATION AND THE COMPENSATION OF MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS IN THE TOWN OF WAXHAW, UNION COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. That Chapter 57 of the Private Laws of North Carolina 1919, is hereby amended by striking out in Section 7 thereof the word "year" wherever it appears in said Section and inserting in lieu thereof the word "month".

Sec. 2. That Chapter 57 of the Private Laws of North Carolina, 1919, is hereby further amended by striking out in Section 10 thereof the figure "$1.00" and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "one and one-half dollars ($1.50)".

Sec. 3. That Chapter 57 of the Private Laws of North Carolina, 1919, is hereby further amended by striking out in Section 10 thereof the figure "$3.00" wherever the same appears in said Section and substituting in lieu thereof the words and figures "one dollar ($1.00)".

Sec. 4. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 5. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
