AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 666 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1959 RELATING TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF MARTIN COUNTY AND ITS EXPENDITURE OF GIFTS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 8 of Chapter 666 of the Session Laws of 1959, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking out the period at the end of said Section, and inserting a colon in lieu thereof and adding the following words:

"Provided, further, if the commission, in its discretion, advertises the disbursement of a gift once each week for two successive weeks in some newspaper published in and having general circulation in Martin County, no action or proceeding attacking or drawing in question the validity or lawfulness of such disbursement shall be instituted in any court unless such action or proceeding is commenced within 30 days after publication of such advertisement."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed,

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
