AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 153‑266.18 SO AS TO MAKE VIOLATION OF A COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE A MISDEMEANOR.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. Section 153‑266.18 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, as it appears in the 1959 Cumulative Supplement, is hereby amended by adding the following at the end thereof:
"A violation of this Article or of any ordinance or other regulation made under authority conferred hereby shall also constitute a misdemeanor, punishable, upon conviction thereof, by a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00) or imprisonment not exceeding thirty days."
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
