AN ACT TO EXEMPT FROM REGISTRATION THOSE SMALL FARM TRAILERS KNOWN GENERALLY AS TOBACCO HANDLING TRAILERS, TOBACCO TRUCKS OR TOBACCO TRAILERS WHEN USED IN CONNECTION WITH HARVESTING OR CURING TOBACCO.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 20‑51 is hereby amended by adding thereto a new subsection to be designated Subsection (g) and to read as follows:

"(g)       Those small farm trailers known generally as tobacco handling trailers, tobacco trucks or tobacco trailers when used by a farmer, his tenant, agent or employee, when transporting or otherwise handling tobacco in connection with the pulling, tying or curing thereof."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
