HOUSE BILL 269

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF JURORS IN ALLEGHANY COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Jurors in the Superior Court of Alleghany County shall each be paid five dollars ($5.00) per day for each day required to be in attendance. Each such juror shall be paid seven cents (7¢) per mile for necessary travel from home to the county seat and return, but such travel compensation shall not be paid for more than one round trip per day for each day required to be in attendance.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
