HOUSE BILL 135
AN ACT IN RELATION TO THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST OF BONDS OF THE TOWN OF BANNER ELK.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. Nothing contained in any other law, whether general, special or local, heretofore enacted, shall limit or qualify the duty and authority which is imposed upon or granted to the governing body of the Town of Banner Elk by Section 397 of Chapter 160 of the General Statutes of North Carolina to levy a tax upon all the taxable property in the Town sufficient to pay any bonds issued by the Town and the interest thereon as such bonds and interest become due.
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
