SENATE BILL 11

 

 

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WILSON COUNTY TO REGULATE MOTOR VEHICLE TRAFFIC ON COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY AT THE WILSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. (a) The County Commissioners of Wilson County are hereby authorized and empowered to adopt and publish such rules and regulations as they shall deem necessary in order to control the operation, passage and parking of motor vehicles upon, over and across all county owned land, including driveways, alleys and other areas, adjacent to the courthouse building in Wilson.

(b)       It shall be the duty of the Sheriff of Wilson County to enforce rules and regulations adopted by the Board of County Commissioners under the provisions of this Act.

(c)       Any person violating any of the rules and regulations adopted by the Board of County Commissioners under the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than ten dollars ($10.00) in the discretion of the court.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
