AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 35 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1957 RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE ASHEBORO CITY ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 35 of the Session Laws of 1957 is hereby amended as follows: By striking from Section 6 of said Act the last sentence thereof beginning on line 7 with the word "Each" and ending on line 9 with the word "applicable" and substituting therefor the following sentence: "Each election and registration of voters-including the notice of election, the dates of registration, the date of election, the date for challenging ballots, the place of registration, polling places, registrars and judges-shall be held and conducted in every respect according to the provisions of the laws governing Asheboro municipal elections so far as they may be applicable."

Sec. 2. This Act shall apply only to the County of Randolph.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
