AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 26 OF THE PRIVATE LAWS OF 1891 BEING THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF WADESBORO RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. That Chapter 26 of the Private Laws of North Carolina, 1891, being the Charter of the Town of Wadesboro is hereby amended by striking out all of Section 25 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"Sec. 25. The board of commissioners may determine the compensation of the mayor, town clerk and treasurer and all other officers and employees of the municipality. From and after the first day of July, 1959, each member of the board of commissioners shall receive as compensation for their service the amount of thirty dollars ($30.00) per month.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
