AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 165 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1953 SO AS TO INCREASE THE SALARY OF THE CLERK OF SUPERIOR COURT OF PERSON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 3 of Chapter 165 of the Session Laws of 1953 is hereby amended by rewriting the Section to read as follows:

"Sec. 3. The Clerk of Superior Court of Person County shall receive as his only compensation, and in lieu of any fees, a salary of fifty-six hundred dollars ($5,600.00) per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments out of the general fund of the county, which salary shall be in full payment of all services rendered by said Clerk, including his services as juvenile judge and clerk of the county criminal court, and all other services which are now or may hereafter be imposed upon him by statute by virtue of his office as Clerk of the Superior Court."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective July 1, 1959.
